Do you know Petyr Baelish? I've taken up some work on the side being his bodyguard, so we have a potential vault of allies if things go wrong. [ but if Utena came here to tell Mai that her taste in allegiances are garbage than ...that's honestly pretty needed, thank you, Utena. ]
I'm sure even without this suit to launch me across a building, I can still just reduce him to scrap metal in seconds. My combat ability isn't very diverse, but it gets the job done enough.
we talked a couple times. i don't really know him like you do, but he seemed pretty alright. and he seems like the kind of guy who knows everybody, too. if we have someone like that on our side then we don't have anything to worry about.
[sadly, that callout will have to wait, because... she knows very, very little about Baelish. womp womp.]
I have to admit, I'm sightly inspired by his willingness to make this place agreeable for everyone. My dad was a governor, and didn't really care much about his people. [ That was a cocktail of lies and half truths. Mai doesn't find Petyr inspiring, she just finds him useful and an excuse to devote resources towards her plan of a killer squad of girl fighters courtesy of Woden's talents. And, as governor, her dad's people were actually conquered people subjugated to his rule but ..., still, with recent events revealing her dad is trying to lead an insurgency against her ex, it seems like all her dad really cared about was power. ]
But with his resources, there's not really a lot Woden can do. I haven't told him that I'm Baelish's bodyguard; I'd rather keep him up our sleeve.
